Christmas Wonder, Christmas Joy
Christ’s birth is reason for:
10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid… Luke 2:10 (ESV)
1.) No Fear.
- Gen. 3:10 – “I was afraid.”
- 1 John 4:8,18 – “God is love...There is no fear in love.”
- “He comes to make His blessings flow far as the curse is found!”
10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news…

2.) Good News
- Luke 4:18 - “He has anointed meto proclaim good news to the poor.”
- “The Lord is come: let earth receive her King! Let every heart prepare Him room.”
10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Luke 2:10 (ESV)
3.) Great Joy.
- Great = ‘Megas’
- Psalm 100:1 - Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
- “Joy to the earth! the Savior reigns: let all their songs employ…repeat the sounding joy!”
18 And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. Luke 2:18 (ESV)
4.) Wonder.
- Rom. 5:8 – God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
- John 1:14—And the Word became flesh...full of grace and truth.
- “He rules the world with truth and grace…and wonders of His love.”
The Good News of Christ’s birth is THE reason for MEGA joy and wonder!
