2 Kings 6:8-23 = The Story of Elisha

¹⁰ Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. ¹¹ Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. ¹² For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:10-12

1. We need to be aware of the spiritual battle around us.

• Ephesians 6:12 - For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

2. You have an enemy who wants to destroy you

• 1 Peter 5:8 - Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

3. We need to Fight!

• James 4:7 – Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

• 1 John 4:4 – You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Elisha, in an overwhelming situation, had his eyes opened to God’s army, who was fighting for him. We have the same God who loves us, cares for us and is fighting for us. We need to press in to Him.
