In the Heavens…
God’s Fingerprints - Part 1
Zechariah 12:1 (NKJV) - “Thus says the Lord, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him.”
God’s Fingerprints are on…
1.) The expanding Universe.
- Isaiah 34:4 (NKJV) - And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll;
- See also: Jer. 10:12; Isaiah 40:22, Isaiah 45:12, Psalm 104:2
- Bangs may have Bangers, but the Big Bang has breakdowns!
2.) The stars in the sky.
- Jeremiah 33:22 – Countless stars.
- Job 38:31 - Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades or loose the cords of Orion?
3.) The Milky Way galaxy.
- Daniel 2:22 - He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.
- Can you guess the perfect location in the Milky Way for our solar system?
4.) The solar system.
- Isaiah 45:12 – “My hands…stretched out the heavens…I commanded all their host.”
- Rareness of the Sun as a star.
- Planets are ‘space vacuum cleaners.’
5.) The earth and the moon.
- Isaiah 45:18 - He is God; who formed the earth… He formed it to be inhabited!
- Earth is a rare, rare planet. (More on this next week!!!)
- Isaiah 51:16 – “I have…covered you in the shadow of my hand, establishing the heavens and laying the foundations of the earth…”
- Moon: Harvest moon night light, Calendar, Stable seasons ( and axis tilt), Protective shield, healthy oceans,
- Isaiah 45:5,6,7 – “I form light and create darkness…”
- Solar Eclipse marvels! (Bailey’s Beads, Shadow Bands and more!)
