“I am the Lord’s servant” – The Fundamentals of Christianity

Matthew 20:28 “Just as the Son of Man did come to be served but to serve…”

 

Why I am the Lord’s Servant:

  1. Because serving is a fundamental d of Christianity.
  • Matthew 23:11 “The greatest among you will be your servant.”

 

  1. Because serving is the best way to l__ _______ down my life and t___________ up His life.
  • Matthew20:28 “Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

 

  1. Because by serving I am c my faith.
  • James 2:22 “You see that his faith and deeds were working together and his faith was made complete by what he did.”

 

  1. Because by serving God and others we take the focus o of ourselves.
  • Matthew 20:26-27Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave”

 

  1. Because serving t to the risen Christ in us.
  • 1Corinthians 4:1 “So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Jesus Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God.”

 

  1. Because serving is the best way to p a person’s heart for the gospel.
  • Matthew 25:35… “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat…”

 

  1. Because serving prepares us for eternity by creating a greater l_____________ for eternity.
  • Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
