A Heart for Discipleship

A Vision for Your Heart – Part 5

Above all else, watch over your heart; diligently guard it because from a sincere and pure heart come the good and noble things of life.      Prov. 4:23 (VOICE)

My vision is that I (we) would increasingly develop:

  1. A heart for God. 2. A heart for the local church. 3.       A heart for the lost
  2. A heart for service
  3. A heart for discipleship – Invest my life into people in order to help them become mature lifetime Kingdom-workers!   Embrace becoming a disciple-maker-maker.

The CCC Mission: To “proclaim Him (Jesus), admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.” Colossians 1:28

Questions to help evaluate my heart for discipleship:

27...Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 We proclaim him, Colossians 1:27-28 (NIV84)

1.) How am I _________________________________________ to encounter the gospel?

…admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, Colossians 1:28 (NIV84)

2.) How am I _________________________________________ in the gospel?

...so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. Colossians 1:28 (NIV84)

3.) How am I _________________________________________ living out the gospel?

29 To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.

Colossians 1:29 (NIV84)

4.) How am I _________________________________________ to spread the gospel?

Is it my vision to have a heart for discipleship?

Will I bring them in, build them up, e3quip them for, and send them out?
