Fruit of the Spirit – Part 1

 

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

  1. Healthy trees bear g           fruit.

- Matthew 7:17-20; Matthew 12:33

Q: Am I bearing good fruit or bad fruit?

 

 

  1. Those who bear fruit hold fast to the W           of God.

- Luke 8:14-15

Q: Am I hanging on to life’s pleasures or God’s promises?

 

 

  1. Whoever abides in J               , and He in them, bears much fruit.

- John 15:1-8

Q: Am I abiding in Jesus or withering away?

 

 

Test Time:

- 2 Corinthians 13:5

Q: Do I pass or fail the test?

 

 

The foolish farmer…

 

We must TAKE ACTION! “Walk by the Spirit” and “Step with the Spirit.”

- Galatians 5:16, 25

 

What does a tree need for growth to bear fruit?

  2. S           – Colossians 2:6-7; Psalm 18:2
  3. S           – Genesis 2:7 (Air/Breath); John 4:10, 13-14 (Water)
