 1Samuel 2:30 “Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor,

Why Good Sundays Make Better Mondays:

Vs 13: “if you call the Sabbath a delight and the Lord's holy day honorable…”

  1. Because God delights in Sunday – Sunday is the day to d_________  in God.
  • Genesis 2:3 “so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy,”
  • Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.

 

Vs 13: “if you call the Sabbath a delight and the Lord's holy day honorable…”

  1. Because God honors Sunday – Sunday is the day to h__________ God.
  • 1 Samuel 2:30But now the Lord declares: 'Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor,’”
  • “If” puts in motion the law of reaping and sowing. Galatians 6:7

 

Vs 14: “and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please…”

  1. Because God designed Sunday for renewal – I will be r__________ by Sunday.
  • Rhythm of Life! Mark 2:27 Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.”
  • Deuteronomy 5:14 “but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God.”

 Conclusion? The Sabbath must be important ! ________________________

Vs 14 “then you will find your joy in the Lord, and I will cause you to ride on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.”

When I honor Sundays, then my Mondays thru Saturdays h__________ to be blessed.

-find your joy: The Joy of the Lord will be my strength Nehemiah 8:10

-ride on the heights: Live victorious – above life’s circumstances. Isaiah 40:31

-feast on the inheritance: of God’s promises Exodus 16:27-29

 Six Steps I can Take to Make Better Mondays:

 #1 Attend church regularly.
 #2 Serve somewhere in the church.
 #3 Call the church, “my church."
 #4 Develop friendships in church.
 #5 Give consistently to the church.
 #6 Invite people to church.

Isaiah 58:14 “then you will find your joy in the Lord, and I will cause you to ride on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.” The mouth of the Lord has spoken.
