Today: a ‘Collation’ of Proverbs on Wise vs. Foolish Living:

  • ‘Wisdom City’ vs. ‘Foolsville’ …

► 12:15 – The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who heeds counsel is wise.

► 15:2 – The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, but the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness.

► 22:3 – A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself; but the simple pass on and are punished.

► 29:11 – A fools vents all his feelings, but a wise man holds them back.

► 24:5,6 – A wise man is strong, yes a man of knowledge increases strength; for by wise counsel you will wage your won war, and in a multitude of counselors there is safety.

► 28:26 – He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but he who walks wisely will be delivered.

► 26:11 – As a dog returns to his own vomit, so a fool repeats his folly.

The main distinguishing quality of a wise man vs. a fool is the willingness to follow directives and seek and listen to counsel/advice.   Also, the fool repeats his mistakes, while the wise person learns from them.

If you are married, your spouse is your #1 counselor.
