    Salvation Basics from Ephesians:

    Salvation 101

In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. -Ephesians 1:13 ESV

First of all, what is salvation?

Acts 16:31 - “And they said, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved…”

Romans 10:9-10 NIV84 - “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”

Great Commission Churches (GCC), in their Statement of Faith, say this about salvation: "Men and women are freed from the penalty for their sins not as a result, in whole or in part, of their own works, goodness or religious ceremony, but by the undeserved favor of God alone. God declares righteous all who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation."
