Grace is a Game-Changer

The Path to Freedom — Part 11

Review of the 10 Commands and The Path to Freedom

Grace changes the game when:

28 Come to me, all who labor…                 Matthew 11:28

1.)        We labor to become good enough, God gives us the same status of Christ!

  • 1 John 3:1 - 1See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!

28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28

2.) We are heavy-laden with expectations and standards, God puts the law in our hearts!

  • Jeremiah 31:33 - I will put my lawwithin them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:29-30

3.) When we take the yoke of our self-sufficency, God sends the Spirit to reside in and empower us!

  • 1 John 3:24 (NLT) - Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.

God’s grace changes the game!
