Passage: Philippians 2:1-11
Jesus, Reset My Mind!
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus … Philippians 2:5
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things. Phil.. 4:8
Our minds are the ‘real estate’ for battles large & small. Our minds need to be reset from unhealthy thought patterns. We can do this if we:
- Think about God!
- You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You … Isaiah 26:3 …
- Jesus said, “He who has seen Me has seen the Father;” … John 14:9 …
- Jesus is the brightness of His gory and the express image of His person … Hebrews 1:3 …
- Think about what God has done!
- The works of the LORD are great, studied by all who have pleasure in them. Psalm 111:2
- I remember the days of old; I meditate on all your works; I muse on the works of Your hands. Psalm 143:5
- Think about what God has written!
- And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds …Romans 12:2
- … His truth shall be your shield and buckler. Psalm 91:4
- This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Josh. 1:8
- Bring in the ‘replacements’! …
- Bring on the ‘soapy scrub brush’! … … the washing of water by the word. Ephesians 5:26
Let your thoughts pass through the ‘grid’ of Philippians 4:8! You can make new synapses in your brain and reset your mind!
Bonus tip for resetting our minds: Listen to – and sing – uplifting Christian songs!
- Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Ephesians 5:19

Jesus, reset our minds!
