Matthew 28:1-10

The significance of 3 scenes – stories from Gospel of Matthew
Scene 1: Matthew 26:17-30; Last Supper:
Vs 28 “this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins”
Scene 2: Matthew 26:31-45: Gethsemane:
Vs 39: “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”
Scene 3: Matthew 27:10-46; Crucifixion:
Vs 54: (Roman Centurion) “Surely he was the Son of God!”
Scene 4: Matthew 28:5-6“Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.”

What Does it All Mean?
- It’s all true! Every promise is the believer’s p______________. 2Cor 1:20
- Fulfillment! Genesis 3: 15 “he will crush your head and he will strike your heel”
- It’s all true! Sin is swallowed up! Paid for, atoned for, r no more. Psalm 103:12 “As far as the east is from the west…”
- Sealed by God, and can never be undone. 2Corintians 1:21-22
- It’s all true! Eternity, heaven, victory! He rose-we rise! He won-we w !
- We walk in victory, truth, love, forgiveness, grace. Colossians. 2:9-10
- It’s all true! We are God’s own p . Ephesians 1:17-20
- Do you find yourself before a giant enemy? WE WIN!
- Do you find yourself in a place of temptation and compromise? WE WIN!
- Do you find yourself in a dark dungeon, forgotten by God? WE WIN!
- Do you find yourself with an overwhelming call? WE WIN!
- It’s all true! We have a s to tell! Vs 7: go quickly and tell his disciples, He has risen from the dead …”
- John 1:14 “We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
What Does it All Mean?
It’s all true! If you are not in Jesus Christ:
- 1John 5:11-12 “And this is the testimony God has given us eternal life…”
“A transformed life is the greatest of all miracles. Every time a person is ‘born again’ by repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ, the miracle of regeneration is performed.” B Graham
